The Ven. He was born into an ecclesiastical family〔 His father, also called William Harrison Rigg, was ordained in the year of his son’s birth ORDINATIONS The Morning Post (London, England), Tuesday, 25 December 1877; pg. 6; Issue 32915. 19th Century British Library Newspapers: Part II.〕 on 1 November 1877 and educated at Harrow and Hertford College, Oxford. curacies at St Mary’s, Lewisham〔(Geograph )〕 and St Alfege, Greenwich.〔(Church web site 1 )〕 He held incumbencies at Christ Church Bermondsey, 〔(Southwark Anglican )〕Christ Church Greenwich 〔(Church Web site 2 )〕 and Beverley Minster, becoming a Canon of York in 1933.〔 RIGG, Ven.
